However, under California reporting guidelines, “personal information” may include an individual’s name; Social Security number; driver’s license number, California identification card number, tax identification number, passport number, military identification number, or other government-issued identification number; financial account information, including account numbers or credit or debit card numbers in combination with any required security code, access code, or password; medical information; health insurance information; unique biometric data such as a fingerprint, retina, or iris image used to authenticate an individual; information collected through the use or operation of an automated license plate recognition system; and genetic data.
