Disability Rights:

The Center for Disability Access (CDA - a DBA of Potter Handy, LLP) has represented hundreds of persons with disabilities who have been discriminated against on the basis of their disability throughout the State of California. We have been litigating disability access cases since 1996. There is no firm that has had a bigger impact on disability access law in the entire nation. CDA has an impressive list of pivotal, published opinions to its credit including numerous Ninth Circuit and California appellate court decisions. Recently, CDA successfully argued in front of the California Supreme Court and obtained a unanimous decision strengthening the rights of persons with disabilities under the Unruh Civil Rights Act.

If you are a person with a disability and believe that you have been mistreated because of your disability, or have experienced physical barriers or impediments to access, or if your employer or landlord has failed to make a reasonable modification in policies or practices to accommodate your disability, please contact CDA to have one their attorneys evaluate your case at no charge. In fact, CDA does not charge clients in disabled civil rights cases. If your rights have been violated under the disability access laws you are entitled to recover civil penalties, actual damages, and the defendant has to pay your attorney fees and costs of suit. If you have a question about what your rights are, please do not hesitate to ask.
